This news shared information on a award ceremony organized by Alumni Association of IIUM. The award was given to all figures that had contribute a lot towards IIUM's excellence and development. The main award was awarded to Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. He received the award of Anugerah Khas. Other names listed in the award recipients include Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, Tan Sri Ismail Omar, Ensar Eminovic, and Datuk Ahmad Said. In his speech, Dr Mahathir mentioned that IIUM has achieved a lot of accomplishment throughout the years. He also mentioned that maybe one day IIUM will be able to "produce" a Prime Minister or a President of other country.
