The signing ceremony took place at the Al-Shafii Conference Room on 26 January 1995. Photos featured Prof. Dato' Dr. AbdulHamid Ahmad AbuSulayman representing IIUM and the Chairman of Bank Buruh, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Rozhan Haji Kuntum.
The photo is significant as a firm indicator of the IIUM's commitment to work with the corporate sector in developing new and innovative Shariah-based banking products as well as a synergy on interest-free banking.
